A certificate endorsed
upon or annexed to an order for the detention of a person and signed by the
superintendent of a detention centre stating that the person named in the
order was received at the detention centre and, at the time the certificate
was signed —
(a) was
detained in the detention centre; or
(b) had
been otherwise dealt with under this Act,
is, in any
proceedings, sufficient proof, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, of
the facts stated in the certificate and of the identity of the person who was
detained or had been otherwise dealt with.
