(1) The Commissioner
of Police may, in writing signed by the Commissioner, delegate any of the
Commissioner’s powers or duties under this Act to a police officer of or
above the rank of Commander.
(2) For the purposes
of this Act, the exercise of a power or duty by a delegate under this section
is taken to be the exercise of the power or duty by the Commissioner of
Police.
(3) A police officer
to whom a power or duty is delegated under this section cannot delegate that
power or duty to any other person.
