former provisions means the provisions of the
Child Welfare Act 1947 4 as in force immediately before the commencement of
section 13.
(2) The declaration of
a detention centre under the former provisions is to be taken to have been
made under this Act.
(3) The appointment of
a person as a visiting justice for a detention centre under the former
provisions is taken to have been an appointment under this Act.
