(1) A person
responsible for a livestock animal at a saleyard must ensure that the
livestock animal is assessed immediately before it is presented for sale at
the saleyard to determine whether it is unfit for sale.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$15 000.
(2) If a livestock
animal at a saleyard is determined under subregulation (1) to be unfit
for sale, the person responsible for the livestock animal must ensure that
appropriate arrangements are made for the livestock animal at the first
reasonable opportunity.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$15 000.
(3) A person
responsible for a livestock animal at a saleyard must ensure that the
livestock animal is not sold, or presented for sale, at the saleyard if the
livestock animal is unfit for sale.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$15 000.
