The market rules may
provide for the registration by the operator of persons engaged, or intending
to be engaged, in any of the following activities —
(a)
owning, controlling or operating a generation system that has a rated capacity
greater than the specified capacity and supplies electricity to, or is
electrically connected to, a transmission system or distribution system of the
kind mentioned in paragraph (b);
(b)
owning, controlling or operating a transmission system or distribution system
that forms part of, or is electrically connected to, the SWIS;
(c)
selling or purchasing electricity or another service to or from the operator;
(d)
selling electricity to customers in respect of facilities electrically
connected to a transmission system or distribution system of the kind
mentioned in paragraph (b);
(e)
administering or operating a wholesale market for the dispatch of electricity
generating units or loads.
