Western Australian Current Regulations Western Australian Current Regulations (1) On completing a
fumigation, other than a chamber fumigation, a licensed technician
must —
(a)
remove from the fumigation area all unused fumigant and all equipment and
other things used in the fumigation (including things used for sealing the
fumigation area); and
(b)
ensure that the fumigation area and things in it are free from any residual
fumigant; and
(c)
ensure that the fumigation area is thoroughly ventilated with fresh air in a
manner that prevents any person in the vicinity from being exposed to the
fumigant.
Penalty: a fine of $2 500.
(2) A licensed
technician must ensure that any waste removed from a fumigation area is
disposed of safely.
Penalty for an offence under
subregulation (2): a fine of $2 500.
