(1) The Board may
approve the use of an online system for the casting of votes in elections of
Board members if the Board is satisfied that the online voting
system —
(a) is
sufficiently secure and reliable; and
(b) will
ensure that votes are cast anonymously; and
(c)
enables records to kept and audited; and
(d) is
otherwise an appropriate system for the election of Board members.
(2) An approval under
subregulation (1) must state whether —
(a) all
votes must be cast using the online voting system; or
(b) each
local legal practitioner may choose whether to vote using the online voting
system or a ballot paper.
(3) An approval under
subregulation (1) continues in effect until it is revoked.
