(1) Except as provided
in the Act section 30, when under these rules you are required or enabled
to sign a document, or do something else personally and —
(a) you
are a partnership — then a person who was a partner at the time the
cause of action arose and who is authorised by each of the other partners to
do the thing may do it;
(b) you
are a corporation — then a person who is authorised by the
corporation to do the thing may do it;
(c) you
are a public authority — then an officer of the public authority
who is authorised by the public authority to do the thing may do it;
(d) an
insurer is subrogated to your rights — then a person who is
authorised to do the thing on behalf of the insurer may do it.
(2) If you are a
person under a legal disability and a litigation guardian is conducting a case
on your behalf, subrule (1) applies to your litigation guardian with any
necessary changes.
