(1) In this
regulation —
service provider means a person who, under the
CISS, provides treatment, care, support or another service to a participant in
the CISS.
(2) The Commission
may, by written notice, require a participant in the CISS or a service
provider to provide information the Commission considers relevant to its
assessment of the participant’s treatment, care and support needs.
(3) In the case of a
participant in the CISS, the notice must inform the participant that failure
to comply with the requirement may result in suspension of the person’s
participation in the CISS under regulation 20.
(4) In the case of a
service provider, the notice must inform the service provider that failure to
comply with the requirement may constitute an offence.
(5) A service provider
who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with a requirement under
subregulation (2) commits an offence.
Penalty for this
subregulation: a fine of $10 000.
