NAVIGABLE WATERS REGULATIONS 1958 - REG 30

30 .         Damage to jetties

            (a)         Without prejudice to the liability of other persons, if any, the owner of a vessel is personally responsible for all damage to a jetty caused by a person employed by him.

            (b)         Where damage to a jetty is caused by an owner or by a person employed by him, the Department may repair the damage and the cost of such repairs shall be a debt due to the State and payable by the owner and may be recovered in a court of competent jurisdiction.
