Western Australian Current Regulations Western Australian Current Regulations (1) The ranks of
prison officers appointed under section 13 of the Act in the prison
service shall be in ascending order —
(a)
prison officer; and
(b)
assistant senior prison officer; and
(c)
senior prison officer; and
(d)
principal officer.
(2) A prison officer
shall be eligible for promotion to the higher rank after he has met any
criteria laid down from time to time by the chief executive officer and
applicable to that higher rank.
(3) A prison officer
may be promoted only by the chief executive officer.
