(1) An inspector
shall, on the application of a licensee or permit holder —
(a) who
satisfies the inspector that he or she wishes to —
(i)
take wildstock or broodstock; or
(ii)
remove pearl oysters from a nursery site for the purpose
of subjecting them to pearl seeding operations;
and
(b)
whose licence or permit is subject to a condition referred to in
section 26(2)(c) or (d)(ii) of the Act; and
(c) who
has lodged an annual notice of intent under regulation 11 for the
calendar year during which the pearl oysters are to be taken or removed,
issue to the licensee
or permit holder pearl oyster identification tags to identify the wildstock,
broodstock or nursery grown oysters (as the case requires) to be taken or
removed.
(2) A licensee or
permit holder to whom tags have been issued shall allocate sufficient of those
tags to each boat used by or on behalf of the licensee or permit holder for
the purposes of his or her licence or permit to enable the crew of that boat
to comply with these regulations.
