(1) A person shall not
without permission light make or use a fire on the Island other than
in —
(a) a
gas cooking stove; or
(b) an
indoor fireplace provided by the Authority.
Penalty: a fine of $1 000.
(2) Nothing in
subregulation (1) shall be read as authorising a person to light a fire
in an open fireplace in contravention of the Bush Fires Act 1954 .
