Western Australian Current Regulations Western Australian Current Regulations (1) This regulation
applies only to a motor vehicle with 4 or more wheels.
(2) A motor vehicle
fitted with an automatic transmission must have an engine starter mechanism
that cannot operate when the transmission control is in a position to drive
the vehicle.
(3) A motor vehicle
built after 1975 that is fitted with an automatic transmission must have an
indicator in the driver’s compartment showing the transmission control
position.
