(1) The master of any
vessel within a port —
(a)
shall anchor, moor or berth the vessel at the place appointed by the harbour
master and in no other place;
(b)
shall forthwith comply with any order of the harbour master requiring him or
her —
(i)
to move the vessel from its place in the port to any
other place in the port; or
(ii)
to put down additional anchors or mooring lines to secure
the vessel; or
(iii)
to slacken any anchor chains or ropes or mooring lines
securing the vessel.
(2) The master of a
vessel shall not, except in unavoidable circumstances or with the permission
of the harbour master, beach the vessel within any port and, where a vessel is
beached in a port, the master or owner of the vessel shall cause the vessel to
be removed in accordance with the directions of the harbour master.
