(1) If an insurer or
self‑insurer requests an assessment of a worker’s degree of
permanent impairment, the cost of the assessment must be paid for by whichever
made the request.
(2) If a worker
requests an assessment of the worker’s degree of permanent impairment
and the assessment is not a miscellaneous expense under section 91 of the
Act, the cost of the assessment must be paid for by the worker.
