(1) A person
conducting a business or undertaking must ensure that signs that comply with
subregulation (2) are erected —
(a)
immediately before work in a confined space commences and while the work is
being carried out; and
(b)
while work is being carried out in preparation for, and in the completion of,
work in a confined space.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $4 200;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $21 000.
(2) The signs
must —
(a)
identify the confined space; and
(b)
inform workers that they must not enter the space unless they have a confined
space entry permit; and
(c) be
clear and prominently located next to each entry to the space.
