Western Australian Current Regulations Western Australian Current Regulations (1) Every applicant
for a certificate of competency must have passed the appropriate examination
to the satisfaction of the chief executive officer.
(2) Where, by virtue
of being granted a certificate of competency by the chief executive officer, a
person is deemed to be the holder of a certificate of a lower class, he may be
required by the chief executive officer to deliver up any certificate of a
lower class that he may possess and if any such certificate so delivered up to
the chief executive officer was granted by another marine authority it shall
be returned to that authority.
