(1) A superintendent
is authorised to search any detainee in accordance with this Part and take
from him or her any illegal or unauthorised thing found on his or her person.
(2) A superintendent
is authorised to search any officer or other employee in accordance with this
Part in order to ascertain whether any illegal or unauthorised thing is in his
or her possession.
(3) A superintendent
is authorised to search any person in the circumstances set out in
regulation 91, including a child, in accordance with this Part in order
to ascertain whether any illegal or unauthorised thing is in his or her
possession.
(4) A superintendent
is authorised to search any person or vehicle outside but near a detention
centre in accordance with this Part, where in the opinion of the
superintendent that search is necessary for the security or good order of the
detention centre, in order to ascertain whether any illegal or unauthorised
thing is present.
