This legislation has been repealed.
(1) Subject to
subsections (2) and (3), the Board is to cancel the registration of and direct
the registrar to remove from the register the name of an osteopath if the
Board is satisfied that the osteopath —
(a) has
not practised osteopathy in the preceding period of 5 years; and
(b) has
not maintained current knowledge and skills in osteopathy at an approved
level.
(2) If the Board
proposes to give a direction under subsection (1), the Board is to give the
osteopath written notice of the proposal and the reasons for the proposal.
(3) A notice given
under subsection (2) must state that within 28 days after the notice is given,
the osteopath to whom it is given may make written representations to the
Board concerning the proposal, and the Board is not to give the direction
without considering any representations received within that period.
