This legislation has been repealed.
If any animal in
respect of which a permit is issued is liberated or becomes at large in any
part of the State in respect of which it is a declared animal, the person who
was in charge of the animal immediately before it was liberated or became at
large shall, unless otherwise required by the Director General, immediately
take all reasonable steps to recapture or destroy the animal, and he and the
person to whom the permit was issued shall each notify the Director General
forthwith.
Penalty: a fine of $2 000.
