This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The inspector may
make any necessary or convenient direction in relation to the animals
including —
(a) to
hold the animals at the abattoir; and
(b) to
move them to, and hold them at, another place specified by the inspector; and
(c) to
arrange for NLIS tags, as defined in regulation 85S(1), to be applied to
the animals.
(2) An abattoir
operator must comply with a direction given by an inspector under
subregulation (1).
Penalty: a fine of $5 000.
