This legislation has been repealed.
A person who takes
material containing asbestos to a disposal site or to a place approved by the
Chief Executive Officer under regulation 45(a) which is not -
(a)
separated from other material for disposal where that is reasonably
practicable;
(b)
wrapped or otherwise contained in a manner required under the
Health (Asbestos) Regulations 1992 ; and
(c)
labelled or marked with the words “CAUTION ASBESTOS” in letters
not less than 40 mm high,
commits an offence.
