This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The master of a
vessel shall give notice to the Manager of his intention to discharge or load
before that work is commenced and notice with respect to labour or the hire of
mechanical appliances must be handed to the Manager not later than 1 p.m. on
the preceding day.
(2) Goods, live stock,
or other material of any sort whatsoever shall not be discharged or shipped,
except at such times and places and in such order and mode as may be directed
and deemed expedient by the Manager for the proper working of any wharf or
jetty.
(3) Cargo discharged
without permission of the Manager being first obtained shall not be deemed to
be in the custody of the Port Authority, nor shall the Port Authority be held
responsible for any loss or damage that may accrue to such cargo from any
cause whatever.
