The Port Authority
shall not be bound to find storage room for any goods, either in any shed or
on any wharf and after notification to the owners, shippers, or consignees of
any goods or to the vessel’s agent that room is not available for the
storage of such goods within a shed, or that such goods are, owing to their
character, not permitted by some other authority than the Port Authority to be
stored in a shed, the Port Authority shall not be held responsible for any
loss or damage that may occur to the goods by the elements or otherwise,
during the time they remain on the Port Authority’s premises.
