This legislation has been repealed.
(1) Notwithstanding
anything contained in these by-laws, the council may, by permit under the hand
of the surveyor, allow the display of advertisements at theatres and other
places of public entertainment or of advertisements of meetings or other
matters of public interest, upon such terms, and for such period, as the
council may, in each case, decide.
(2) The council may
revoke any such permit at any time without assigning any reason therefor.
(3) Upon the
expiration or revocation of a permit issued under this by-law, the person to
whom it was issued shall forthwith remove the advertisement to which it
relates.
