This legislation has been repealed.
(1) Any Councillor
moving a motion or amendment or taking part in the discussion thereon, shall
rise and address the Mayor.
Point of Order
(2) A Councillor who
is addressing the Mayor shall not be interrupted except upon a point of order,
in which event he shall resume his seat until the Councillor raising the point
of order has been heard thereon and the question of order has been disposed
of, whereupon the Councillor so interrupted may, if permitted, proceed.
(3) A Councillor
rising to express a difference of opinion with, or to contradict, a speaker
shall not be recognised as raising a point of order.
(4) A violation of any
provision of these Standing Orders is a breach of order.
