(1) Subject to
subregulation (2), the prescribed time for the purposes of
clause 1(1) and (3) of Schedule 2 of the Act is the day that is
12 months after the day on which the Act commences.
(2) If an owner or
operator of a railway holds an accreditation in another State or by the
Commonwealth under a corresponding law in force in that State or the
Commonwealth, the prescribed time for the purposes of clause 1(1) of
Schedule 2 of the Act is the day that is 6 months after the day on
which the Act commences.
