This legislation has been repealed.
(1) Every person shall
give way to a pedestrian who —
(a)
displays a walking stick or cane that is predominantly white; or
(b) is
assisted in his or her movements by a guide dog.
(2) A person, other
than a blind person, who —
(a)
displays a walking stick or cane that is predominantly white; or
(b)
subject to subregulation (3), is assisted in his or her movements by a
guide dog,
commits an offence.
(3)
Subregulation (2) (b) does not apply to a person who in the course
of his or her employment is training a guide dog to assist a blind person.
