THE SENIOR DEPUTY PRESIDENT: There has been a conference in this matter this afternoon. As a result, the parties have agreed to consider the following process for the settlement of the matter:

(1) Conduct of the review of the School of Business Managing Program. An NTEU nominee from outside the faculty, but within the university, will be a member of the review body. Terms of reference of the review timetable and final reports will be processed in accordance with clause 11 of the EBA.

(2) Appointment of T. England. Mr England will be offered a 50 per cent fractional level B contract in the School of Business for a term determined as follows:

(a) Teaching is no longer required in the subject matter currently contained in the subjects to be specified; or
PN5
(b) That teaching of the matter in the specified subjects has been reassigned to an existing staff member employed at 26 June 2001.

In the event that the contract has not expired by 1 July 2002, Mr England will be offered ongoing employment.

I adjourn the matter generally.
