Nickless Pty Limited for certification of
the Mayne Logistics Australian Paper
(Tasmania) Agreement 2000

THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT: The TWU and Mayne Nickless Pty Limited seek the certification of an agreement to be known as the Mayne Logistics Australian Paper (Tasmania) Agreement 2000. No parties are in attendance but have advised that they seek the agreement to be certified to be effective from the date on which the employees voted and agreed to the terms of the agreement, which was 20 July 2001 and the agreement is intended to remain in place until 30 April 2003. I note that the agreement provides that the minimum standards of employment will be no less favourable and the Transport Workers Award 1983 pre simplification.

I am satisfied that the parties have provided the necessary statutory declarations and have met the requirements of the Act and accordingly an order will issue today certifying the agreement. That order will take effect from today's date.
