MR C. DRANE: If it pleases the Commission, I appear for the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and with me is MR M. STEVENS and MR K. FORWAY.

MR M. MOIR: May it please the Commission, I appear for the Australian Industry Group on behalf of Selectron Telecommunications Pty Ltd. I appear with MS K. KNOWLES, human resources director with the company.

THE COMMISSIONER: Thank you. Gentlemen, this matter was last before me some time ago at which state I constituted a board of reference under the chairmanship of Mr Caesar to investigate the matter. Mr Caesar is now giving me his report of which I am inclined to adopt. However, I have decided to call the parties together this morning to give them a copy of Mr Caesar's report so the parties may peruse that report and if they wish, have further discussions amongst themselves but come back to me in a week or so. I will set another date and make any submissions that they may wish to.

However, they will have to be good submissions. I want to make it quite clear for I am inclined to accept the report of Mr Caesar. Unless anyone has anything to say I will have that report distributed and that will be it for the morning. Anything to say?

MR MOIR: Commissioner, I just wonder whether you might be available to chair a conference later this morning after we have perused the contents of that report.
