MR M. PERICA: I appear for the CPSU.

THE SENIOR DEPUTY PRESIDENT: Thank you, Mr Perica. I think that my office has been advised that there will be no appearance on behalf of the objector in this matter.

MR PERICA: Yes. The objector is ASMOF, your Honour. The status of this is - - -

THE SENIOR DEPUTY PRESIDENT: Well, I think it is actually Mr Jansen, isn't it, on behalf of the AMA. But anyway - - -

MR PERICA: Yes. They are looking for an undertaking in relation to newly qualified medical practitioners which we are willing to give. A document has been drawn up which has been signed by Mr Jansen and approved on officer level by the CPSU. It only awaits formal approval by the federal executive so I imagine in the next two weeks that will happen.

Your Honour, we are in your hands where we go from there. I mean, if you want to adjourn off and hear from me again about the - - -

THE SENIOR DEPUTY PRESIDENT: I think it is probably appropriate that I do adjourn it. I will adjourn it to 10.15 on 30 May for a report. Should everything be in order at some earlier stage, Mr Perica, and your organisation wants the matter processed earlier then they can contact my chambers and we might be able to accommodate that.
