certification of the Sigma (Tasmania) Certified
Agreement 2002

THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT: This is an application pursuant to section 170LJ of the Workplace Relations Act for certification of the Sigma (Tasmania) Certified Agreement 2002. Parties to the agreement are the Sigma Company in respect to its health care division in Tasmania, the National Union of Workers and all employees covered by the classifications therein. Neither of the parties are in attendance but agree to the certification in their absence.

I have been through the terms of the agreement and there were no queries that I wish to raise with the parties. The agreement has been filed within the statutory time limit. The parties have provided the necessary statutory declarations and accordingly I am satisfied that the requirements of the Act have been met. The agreement will be certified. An order will issue to take effect from today's date and to remain in force until 1 September 2005 but the agreement came into effect from 2 September 2002. That agreement is hereby certified.
