OF AGREEMENT

Application under section 170LS of the Act
by Sorell Council and Others for certification
of the Sorell Council Enterprise Agreement 2002

THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT: This is an application AG5083/2002. This is an application pursuant to section 170LS of the Workplace Relations Act for certification of the Sorell Council Enterprise Agreement 2002. The parties have been advised that there are no queries that the Commission wishes to raise as to the content of the agreement and each of the parties have provided a fax advising of their non attendance but that they agree to the matter being certified in their absence.

The parties to the agreement are the Sorell Council, the ASU and APESMA and those employees covered by the classifications found therein. Each has provided the required statutory declaration and accordingly I am satisfied have met the requirements of the Act. The agreement will be certified. An order will issue to take effect from today's date and to remain in force until 30 June 2004. The agreement in fact came into effect from 1 July 2002. That agreement is hereby certified.
