TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS
AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL
RELATIONS COMMISSION
COMMISSIONER RICHARDS
AG2003/2199
APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION OF AGREEMENT
Application under section 170LK of the Act
by Amrae Pty Limited for certification of the
Amrae Pty Limited Certified Agreement 2003
BRISBANE
10.17 AM, TUESDAY, 20 MAY 2003
PN1
THE COMMISSIONER: The last agreement is the Amrae Pty Limited Certified Agreement 2003, which is AG2003/2199. Mr Guymer?
PN2
MR M. GUYMER: Thank you, Commissioner. Due to administrative difficulties, this agreement was filed 13 days out of time. We request that the Commission utilise its discretionary powers under the Act and grant an extension of time for filing in 13 days.
PN3
THE COMMISSIONER: Where's the gap? Where do I draw the line, I wonder? Look, I might, in respect of this one, also, I think, just require you to give me a quick note simply confirming that the composition of the workforce wasn't affected in any way. As a matter of simple convenience, and outside the basis of my prior certification of AG2003/2736, I was wondering whether you might, Mr Guymer, also just do me the courtesy of confirming that despite the 11 day effluxion of time there was nothing - no substantial changes in the composition of the workforce in respect of that agreement as well.
PN4
MR GUYMER: Yes, Commissioner.
PN5
THE COMMISSIONER: That was Sunlord Pty Limited Certified Agreement 2003. As I said, it's highly unlikely there would be any changes, but I think as long as we're doing this run of these matters we may have a uniform approach to it. I've certified that agreement and this will be nothing more than a confirming document. I don't want to create more work for you but we can minimise this very short statement on your contact with the employer.
PN6
MR GUYMER: That's fine, Commissioner.
PN7
THE COMMISSIONER: And in each case I will re-list and deal with it in chambers so you won't need to bear any additional transaction costs in respect of this matter, nor will the employer. Does that deal with this for the day?
PN8
MR GUYMER: Thank you, Commissioner.
PN9
THE COMMISSIONER: We're adjourned.
ADJOURNED INDEFINITELY [10.18am]
