and working conditions

THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT: This is C2002/1778 which is a section 99 notification of industrial dispute between the National Union of Workers and Atria Group Pty Limited and Others. Logs of claims were served on a number of employers by the National Union of Workers. The matter went before the Commission in June last year and a record of findings was made in respect to a number of employers. This application is by consent and is to make a roping-in award to bind the National Union of Workers, its officers and members, LOGSERV Pty Limited in Leura, New South Wales and RMS Distribution Services Pty Limited in Carlton, I think that should be Victoria not Tasmania - in Carlton, Victoria.

The application is by consent. None of the parties are in attendance but we have written authority from LOGSERV Pty Limited, from RMS Distribution Services and of course from the NWU that the roping-in award be made. Accordingly, the new award shall be known as the Storage Services General Roping-in Number 8 Award 2003. The parties to that award will be as previously stated the National Union of Workers, LOGSERV Pty Limited of Leura, New South Wales and RMS Distribution Services of Carlton, Victoria. The award will come into effect from the first pay period on or after today's date. That application is approved.
