Branch and Another for certification of the
Tasmanian TAFE Teachers Agreement 2004

THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT: 2541, an application pursuant to 170LJ of the Act for certification of the Tasmanian TAFE Teachers Agreement 2004. The parties to the agreement are the Minister Administering the State Service Act 2000, the Australian Education Union and employees covered by the agreement, whether members of the union are not. None of the parties are in attendance having been advised that there are no queries in respect to the content of the agreement. Each has provided a fax seeking certification in their absence.

The parties have provided the necessary statutory declarations and I am satisfied the requirements of the Act have been met and the agreement can be certified. Accordingly, an order will issue to take effect from today's date. The agreement, however, came into effect on 1 March 2004 and is to remain in force until 28 February 2007. That agreement is certified.
