THE SENIOR DEPUTY PRESIDENT: This is an application by the Rural Ambulance Victoria to suspend or terminate a bargaining period initiated by the Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union, on 2 June 2004, for the making of a proposed certified agreement binding upon the parties. I have decided to terminate the bargaining period on the basis that the industrial action that is being taken to support or advance claims in respect of the proposed agreement is threatening to endanger the welfare of part of the population. The order will operate from 12 noon today until 30 June 2005. I will publish my reasons as soon as I am able to do so.
