THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT: This is an application pursuant to section 170LJ of the Workplace Relations Act for certification of the Glenorchy City Council Enterprise Agreement 2004. The parties to the agreement are the Glenorchy City Council, the ASU, APESMA, CEPU, CFMEU, AMWU and employees covered by the agreement and subject to the classifications therein. None of the parties are in attendance having been advised that the Commission has no queries in respect to the agreement and each has provided a fax seeking certification in their absence.

The agreement was lodged within the prescribed time limit and the Council is a Local Government Authority. The parties have also provided the necessary statutory declarations and I am satisfied the agreement meets the requirements of the Act and accordingly can be certified. An order will issue to take effect from today's date and to remain in force until 30 September 2006. The agreement however came into effect from 1 October 2004. That agreement is certified.
