Bills and instruments with no committee comment[1]

1.83 The committee has no comment in relation to the following bills which were introduced into the Parliament between 22 to 25 February 2021. This is on the basis that the bills do not engage, or only marginally engage, human rights; promote human rights; and/or permissibly limit human rights:[2]

Australian Local Power Agency Bill 2021;

• Australian Local Power Agency (Consequential Amendment) Bill 2021;

Ending Indefinite and Arbitrary Immigration Detention Bill 2021;

Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Amendment (Standards and Assurance) Bill 2021;

Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility Amendment (Extension and Other Measures) Bill 2021;

Private Health Insurance Legislation Amendment (Age of Dependants) Bill 2021;

Special Recreational Vessels Amendment Bill 2021; and

Work Health and Safety Amendment (Norfolk Island) Bill 2021.

1.84 The committee has examined the legislative instruments registered on the Federal Register of Legislation between 28 January and 18 February2021.[3] The committee has determined not to comment on the instruments from this period on the basis that the instruments do not engage, or only marginally engage, human rights; promote human rights; and/or permissibly limit human rights.
