1.34 The committee has no comment in relation to the following bills which were introduced into the Parliament between 13 – 16 June 2023:

• Broadcasting Services Amendment (Ban on Gambling Advertisements During Live Sport) Bill 2023

• Home Affairs Bill 2023^[2]

^[2] This bill was introduced in the House of Representatives on 15 June 2023 and passed the same day after 73 minutes of debate in both Houses. The committee seeks to consider and report on all bills while still before the Parliament in order to inform debate. The committee considers that this quick process inappropriately limited parliamentary scrutiny and debate.
