MR N. BALDINI: Commission pleases, N Baldini for the Police Federation of Australia.

THE COMMISSIONER: Thanks, Mr Baldini. This matter that's been lodged seems to have some relationship to another matter that I've got, matter DR2010/560, which is an application by the Police Federation of Australia. It's listed for 6 December. Anybody have a view as to how these matters should be approached? Should they be joined, for example?

MR BALDINI: We believe they're, in essence, the same issue.

THE COMMISSIONER: I'll adjourn into conference and we'll discuss programming.

THE COMMISSIONER: I've discussed future programming with the parties. It appears to me that matter DR2010/560 and matter AG2010/19770 ought to be heard concurrently. We're going to do that. What will be the position is that the previous directions involving matter DR2010/560 are set aside and now Victoria Police is directed to file and serve an outline of its submissions together with an outline of any witness statements in matter AG2010/19770 by 6 December. The Police Federation of Australia is directed to file and serve its outline of submissions and any outline of evidence in DR2010/560 by 14 December. The matter will be listed for hearing on 13-14 January in 2011 and, should any party wish to seek further and better particulars, they can contact me in the week prior to that if anything needs to be done. Thank you. The matter is adjourned.
