Wage rates - enterprise agreement - single business - requirements
of Act met -
agreement certified.
REASONS FOR DECISION
This is an application, pursuant to section
134C of the Industrial Relations
Act 1988 (the Act) for certification of an agreement in part settlement of an
industrial dispute. The agreement applies to a single business
as defined in
the Act.
The agreement shall be known as Department of Forestry State Service
Wages Arrangements Agreement
1993.
The parties to the agreement are the Minister for Public Sector
Management, the Construction, Forestry, Mining and
Energy Union and The
Australian Workers' Union.
Section 134E of the Act provides that the Commission must certify an
agreement
if the provisions of subsection (1) have been complied with. On the
basis of the submissions of the parties, I am satisfied the
relevant
requirements of the subsections have been met. Accordingly, the agreement will
be certified.
This agreement shall
come into force on 20 December 1993, and shall
remain in operation until 30 June 1996.
