DECISION This is an application pursuant to s.170MA of the Industrial Relations Act 1988 for certification of an agreement. The parties to the agreement are Queensland Alumina Limited and The AWU - FIME Amalgamated Union. Statutory declarations of the parties have accompanied the application and these meet the requirements set out in the Rules of the Commission. The parties have submitted that the terms and content of the agreement are within the ambit of earlier dispute findings made by this Commission. The Commission has heard submissions and received material from the parties and is satisfied that the agreement meets the requirements set out in s.170MC. The Commission is also satisfied that no order is necessary under s.170MG. Accordingly, the Commission has decided to certify the agreement as lodged by the parties [and as amended by consent of the parties]. This agreement shall come into force from 27 October 1994 and shall remain in force until 26 October 1996. Appearances: P. Tooker for Queensland Alumina Limited. Y.
