IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by RICHARD JAMES PEARCE pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Mr P M McHaffie
DECISION
We have before us an application by Richard James Pearce for a General Manager’s Certificate.
The Police opposed the application contending that Mr Pearce is not a suitable person to hold a manager’s certificate. The matter was referred to the Authority for determination at a public hearing that was scheduled to take place on 25 January 2011.
The Police have advised our Secretary that they have reviewed the matter and opposition is withdrawn.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1) of the Act and we grant the application. The certificate may issue immediately.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 17th day of December 2010
