ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] This is an application by Jacqueline Mary Chignall for a General Manager’s Certificate. The application was filed with the Rodney District Licensing Agency on 20 June 2001. To the question, “Does the applicant hold any relevant qualifications?” Miss Chignall wrote “University Entrance, currently at university”. The application did not disclose whether she had attended a course of training relating to the Sale of Liquor Act 1989, and/or Host Responsibility. The applicant was asked to attend an interview with the Inspector but she made no further contact. It was discovered that she was no longer living in the area, and no further contact was possible.
[2] It is clear to us that Miss Chignall has decided not to proceed with her application. We note that there is no appearance today.
[3] In those circumstances the application is declined.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 1st day of August 2002
