DECISION
This is an application by Auckland Student Movement at Auckland University of Technology Incorporated for renewal of a club-licence in respect of premises situated at Level 1, C Block, 59-67 Wellesley Street, Auckland, known as “AUSM”.
In addition to the renewal of the club-licence, the applicant seeks to extend the hours during which the sale of liquor is authorised to Sunday to Wednesday 10.00 am to 12.00 midnight, and Thursday to Saturday 10.00 am to 2.00 am the following day. The applicant also seeks pursuant to Regulation 13(3) of the Sale of Liquor Regulations 1990 to include an extended outdoor area within the licensed premises.
The application was duly advertised and no objection or notice of desire to be heard has been received. Accordingly we deal with the matter on the papers.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard as set out in s.68 of the Act. We renew the licence until 26 March 2006, that being the anniversary date of the licence and three years from the last renewal, and authorise the issue of a replacement licence and notice of renewal.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 17th day of April 2003
