New Zealand Liquor Licensing Authority |
Last Updated: 21 July 2010
Decision No. 343/2003
IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by JEREMY MARTIN GIBB pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge E W Unwin
Member: Mr J C Crookston
DECISION
The applicant is the holder of General Manager’s Certificate number 048/GM/235/2002 and has applied to the Hutt City District Licensing Agency pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of that certificate.
In his report on the application, the District Licensing Agency Inspector opposed the application on the basis of the applicant’s conviction on 12 December 2002 for driving with an excess breath alcohol level.
By consent, the applicant and reporting authorities have agreed to a renewal period of one year only. Accordingly, we deal with the matter on the papers.
We are now satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard as set out in s.126 of the Act. We grant the application and renew the certificate to 28 February 2004, that being an anniversary of its original grant.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 21st day of May 2003
