Decision No. 379/2003
IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by HASMUKH JERAM pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge E W
Unwin
Member: Mr J C Crookston
FINAL DECISION
In decision number PH 252/2003 dated 16 April 2003 we adjourned the application by Hasmukh Jeram for a General Manager’s Certificate for three months in response to concerns raised about the applicant’s knowledge of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989. The decision stipulated that as soon as Mr Jeram received a certificate of training from Hospitality Training Company then we proposed to grant the application on the papers.
Our Secretary has subsequently received a supplementary report from the District Licensing Agency Inspector advising that the applicant has successfully completed the training course and that there was no longer any opposition to the application.
We are now satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard as set out in s.121(1) of the Act and we grant the application.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 29th day of May 2003
